Happy Birthday Card

November 5, 1973, my beautiful 1st born daughter joined our family.  She now has a beautiful family of two girls and two boys and another sweet baby on the way.  We are spending the month of November camping and enjoying their company.  It is so much fun being grandparents!!

Here is a card I made for her birthday.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

My Sister-In-Law is flying out to Ireland and so I thought I would make a quick card.

I was mailing some embroidered towels to her and I was in a hurry to get them in the mail before we left for a month RV trip.  I probably could have done a little better on the card, but I was in a hurry.

The sentiment is "Sending you a little prayer... (inside of card)  that God will keep you in His care."

Diamond Fold Card

I am trying to learn different folded cards and so, here is a diamond fold card. The sentiment is "Happy Birthday" even though the picture is not good quality.  I guess I need to concentrate on getting better lighting for picture taking.

Embroidered Baby Gift Set

I had a request for a baby gift set and so I set out searching my stash of embroidery designs and found this sweet flower font.  The baby's name is Elizabeth Anne.  This is the set I finished yesterday.

Finishing up the stitching.

Pink plush baby blanket with satin trim.

Name doesn't look straight but it really is.
It is a very soft blanket.

Stitched on a diaper. Diapers make great burpies.
The small letters are from the Brother fonts called Curlz.

Fall colors

I was looking for some fall colors among my stash of embellishments and found some paisley dimensional stickers that I have had for some time.  I thought it was high time I utilized them, so I set looking for some coordinating colors of paper.  I also found some scripture sentiment stickers that I have had for some time too and wanted to use them as well.  Here are my creations.  They are not elaborate, but very simple.  Oh well...simple is best these days.

Another Carousel Birthday Card

The month of September has 3 birthdays in our family, mine, my granddaughter who is 2 and my little nephew who is also 2.  I was playing with the carousel in the Carousel Cricut Lite cartridge.  It is really a neat cartridge.  Here is another pop-up carousel card.  I had actually cut it the wrong size for my granddaughter's card but was still able to use it.  Also, I didn't like the color so I cut a yellow one that worked better.  The carousel is actually 3 layers. Top layer covers the color I didn't think worked but I kinda of like it even better with the three layer of color. Pictures don't show the card very good.
This is going out to my little nephew.

(sorry it is a little blurry)

Here is a get well card using the bee from the Paisley Cricut cartridge.
The flowers were not from the cartridge but from my stash of flowers.

Needed a baby card.  The base card was cut from the Wild Card cartridge and using a dotted swiss paper. I just added a doily and ribbon with an emblishment rabbit.  Super simple.

Another super simple card using emblishments on colored paper squares.

I recently picked up some cartridges from Wal Mart.  They were all on sale and I thought it was a good buy.   I bought the Carousel cartridge and so far I love it.  I made a card yesterday and I think it turned out cute.  I am anxious to share but I am going to wait until I mail it.

 Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday to my Grandson!

Lion is on a wobble.

My first flower pot card.   Flowers pull up to reveal message.

Boston Terriers by Two - Thank You message for taking care of pets.

Modified cricut cut dogs to achieve Boston Terrier look. Gave them white paws, white blaze, short ears and short tail.  Can you guess which cricut cartridge dog cut I used?

Clue -- it's a Cricut Lite.

Sharing Other Blog Craft Site

I haven't made any new cards to share lately.  I have had limited internet service and also busy sight-seeing on our camping trip.  I hope to get back to creating soon, but in the mean time....check out this blog.  Raina has a great give-a-way.

Another Father's Day Card

Thanks to wonderful instructions/video from Mary @ Cardz TV, I tried my hand at folding paper to make a paper shirt.  Here is my first attempt.  I know it is not perfect but I still think it came out cute.

I used brads for the shirt buttons and a stamp that says "A family is a circle of love".  I wrote a Father's Day note inside.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Father's Day Week-end.
