Pinterest Inspired

Saw something like this on Pinterest. All it is is a cheap ($5.00) frame and decorative paper, dry erase pen and ribbon.

Deco Mesh

I love deco mesh. This is the first year using this wonderful product. My wreaths were looking tired and worn and needed a "face lift". Here are my "new" wreaths.

The last wreath is hanging in my daughters office.

Wallet gift card

I needed a gift card holder so I came up with a wallet style gift holder. The trim is actually some old lace trim that was in my mother's stash.

Birthday Explosion Box

Last month was my granddaughter's third birthday.  I love making the explosion boxes and of course I made her one too.  Here is the box.  Inside were some money and other hidden treasures.

Decorated with butterflies and flowers.

Little pockets held treasures and money.

The turtle and frog are on wobbles
Little butterflies and flowers were glued to a strip of clear hard plastic to make it appear that the butterflies were flitting around and the flowers were waving in the breeze.

Tea Party Time

Our Sunday School ladies had a Tea Party today.  It was so lovely and very enjoyable..  If you follow my blog, I posted some items I made for the tea to include a Fascinator hat.  Here are a few pictures of the lovely tables.  A big thank you goes out to Monika for opening up her home  for the tea.

Each place setting had a little teapot with mints and also held the napkins.
The top plate was used for main dishes and the bottom plate for desserts.  We had different
flavored teas.  Everything was lovely presented and tasted wonderful.

Here is a picture of my fascinator hat.  I was surprised I won,

Tea Party Time

Recently I have been working on a few decorations for our Sunday School ladies tea.
I had fun making these paper cups and teapot favors.

Just a sample of the teapots.  They are glued to
a small box  for  mints.

Teacups cut from "A Child's Year" cartridge.
The cut is really a card but I reduced the size and
cut the card.  Used Cuttlebug folders to emboss.
The ladies name will be applied.

I don't know what all is planned for the tea but we were asked to decorate a hat.  I searched
the internet and found some cute Fascinators........so......I tried to make one.

I plan to wear a navy blue dress with a navy and
 yellow (flowers) jacket.

The base of the Fascinator is a shoulder pad
covered with fabric and attached to a headband.

The idea was borrowed from a really cool blog.  Here is a link.

Thanks to Julie for inspiration.

Birthday Explosion Box

Today is my daughter Kelly's birthday.  I wanted to make a special card for her but couldn't quite come up with anything until I saw a tutorial for an explosion box. There are excellent instructions from Lisa (Irvinehouse) Stampin UP products on YouTube.  So,  I set out to do my own.  Here is my box.  Kelly was quite surprised when she opened it.

I had several layers to the box but this was the first layer.  There is a gift box in the middle and several of the other panels have other treasures tucked inside.  It was fun to make.  I will be doing something like this again.

Wedding Cards

I was in need of a Wedding Card so I looked on YouTube for some ideas.  There are quite a few and I wish I could remember where these ideas came from to give credit.  Which one do you like best?

Hearts cut from Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge.

Wedding dress and veil cut from
Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge.

PS:  I found the site from which I got the idea for the hearts.  It is from Valita's Fresh Folds.  See her badge on my site on the right side.  She is amazing!

TeaCup Shaped Cards

A couple of weeks ago I cut out several Teacup Shaped Cards from A Childs Year Cricut Cartridge.  I think they are such a cute shape.  I got the idea from CardzTV.  Thanks to Mary for her inspiration.

Last night I needed a couple of cards so I thought I would embellish the little teacup shapes.  Here are my cards.  I hope the receiver of these cards are blessed.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

God Bless

HAPPY EASTER

Amazing Grace FSL Crosses

I stitched out 30 of these crosses for my Sunday School Class.  It takes approximately 1 hr and 40 min to stitch out 6 crosses on my PR600 machine at 800 stitches per min.  Hope everyone enjoys using these bookmarks and is reminded of Jesus Christ's Amazing Grace.

God Bless to all who visit my blog.  "He Lives... and lives within my heart".

This is a simple 5x5 card I made using the cuttlebug and butterfly.

Monday, March 26, 2012

Our 40th Anniversary was on the 18th of March .  I made this quick card right before
we left on an Anniversary trip to PA.   This is a pedestal card and I just used designer paper
and a few butterflies.

Hubby's Aunt will be 97 years in a couple of days.  Here is a card I made yesterday.  Aunt Anna is a very sweet lady and we love her very much.

I made a couple of cards and actually got them in the mail before we took a short trip to PA.

Pedestal card
(don't know why so fuzzy)

This was a pre-cut window plain card I bought in a package
of 10.  I ran it through the cuttlebug and  just added the
bird embellishment and ribbon.  That left pleaty of
space to write a note inside.
(the card is white not pink)

Here are a couple of birthday cards that I made for my grandsons.  They both had birthdays this month.

I used the cricut to cut the monkey and "happy birthday".  I will share the cartridge info but right now I can't remember which one this little monkey is from.. But doesn't he have personality?!

Today I needed a baby card and was inspired by Jackie Topa to make a side step dresser card .  Thank you Jackie.  Your directions were so clear.

I just had to use some emblishments that I had on hand.

I will keep my eye open for baby emblishments to add to my stash.  You never know what you may need and when.  Thanks for looking.

I have been doing a little crafting with my cards stuff.
These were inspired by some cards I saw on Pinterest.

Mine aren't quite as petty but I didn't have the same
tools nor paper that the artist must have had.

Purple paper was ran through the cuttlebug.

This card was made with a special lady in mind.
She is in her mid 90's.

The sentiment is :
Sending you a little prayer
That God will keep you in His his care.

I made 30 of these for my grandson's class.  I have about 15 more to go, but they are so easy and come
together pretty fast.  I blogged about it more on my other blog.  Here is a link  www.ggsreflections.blogspot.com.

I was asked to make a card and I thought it was for a birthday...luckily I did have a card in my stash that was suitable for the requested card.  Anyway, here is a birthday card. I will just add it to my stash.

The sentiment says "May God's love brighten your day!".

I love making cards with paper doily's.

I know....I have been missing in action on this part of my blog.  I have been making cards but Christmas had  me busy doing my machine embroidery for customers.  So thankful to have had a little extra income.  But....here is a card I made yesterday.  A lady from our Sunday School class is in the hospital so the card is for her.

It is a "S" fold card. Inspired by Mary @ CardzTV.
