I needed a gift card holder so I came up with a wallet style gift holder. The trim is actually some old lace trim that was in my mother's stash.

Tea Party Time
Our Sunday School ladies had a Tea Party today. It was so lovely and very enjoyable.. If you follow my blog, I posted some items I made for the tea to include a Fascinator hat. Here are a few pictures of the lovely tables. A big thank you goes out to Monika for opening up her home for the tea.
Each place setting had a little teapot with mints and also held the napkins.
The top plate was used for main dishes and the bottom plate for desserts. We had different
flavored teas. Everything was lovely presented and tasted wonderful.
Here is a picture of my fascinator hat. I was surprised I won,

Tea Party Time
Recently I have been working on a few decorations for our Sunday School ladies tea.
I had fun making these paper cups and teapot favors.
| Just a sample of the teapots. They are glued to a small box for mints. |
| Teacups cut from "A Child's Year" cartridge. The cut is really a card but I reduced the size and cut the card. Used Cuttlebug folders to emboss. The ladies name will be applied.
I don't know what all is planned for the tea but we were asked to decorate a hat. I searched
the internet and found some cute Fascinators........so......I tried to make one.
I plan to wear a navy blue dress with a navy and
yellow (flowers) jacket.
The base of the Fascinator is a shoulder pad
covered with fabric and attached to a headband.
The idea was borrowed from a really cool blog. Here is a link.

Birthday Explosion Box
Today is my daughter Kelly's birthday. I wanted to make a special card for her but couldn't quite come up with anything until I saw a tutorial for an explosion box. There are excellent instructions from Lisa (Irvinehouse) Stampin UP products on YouTube. So, I set out to do my own. Here is my box. Kelly was quite surprised when she opened it.
I had several layers to the box but this was the first layer. There is a gift box in the middle and several of the other panels have other treasures tucked inside. It was fun to make. I will be doing something like this again.
